This is to introduce our proposed B. Ed. College, YEAQUB ALI B. ED. COLLEGE, which is a part of a multidisciplined project, KNOWLEDGE CITY. This college has been established at Diamond Harbour Road, Rajarhat, P.O- Sirakole, in the District South 24Parganas of West Bengal. The college is run and managed by Abdur Rob Welfare & Education Trust, founded in the year 2012 and having it’s city office at 40A, S.N. Banerjee Road. Kolkata- 700014. This college has been named after a very well known personality of South 24Parganas, Md. Yeaqub Ali, who was not only a renowned social worker but also one great freedom fighter. He had set up so many schools in South 24Parganas for the welfare of the people, which was unconditional in any means.
Yeaqub Ali B. Ed. College has a well equipped building with laboratories, library and other essential amenities as required by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE). It is located in a very peaceful area far from the noise and rush of the city though it is well connected with Kolkata through different means of transportations.
South 24 Parganas is, indeed, has a peculiar geographical existence, stretching from the Metropolitan city- Kolkata to the most remote villages come under Sundarban delta-region, up till the mouth of Bay of Bengal.
The area where we intend to carry out our objectives, is backward by all means. Particularly, Magrahat and Bishnupur Block dwelled in predominantly by the minority and other backward communities.
Education that brings prosperity in life has been proven. The precondition for the total development of mankind and smooth functioning of any civic society by reducing unemployment. It is therefore, education is the prime concern throughout our activities.
As far as South 24 Parganas is concerned, the level of education here among the people is still very low as compared with other districts in West Bengal. Significantly, the country is developing very fast with highly modified academic curriculum and advanced technological knowledge, while this area is still lacking the same. We incur with the activities to enhance the socio-economic and cultural status of the people of all sects through our activities.
Thousands of student will be benefited through this B.Ed. College to satisfy the increasing demand of the area as such. A model of integrated development will encourage the institution to accompany or to take part in this process of building elite force for total development of their respective area of operation.
In West Bengal, we are pioneering with such institution to nurture the brilliant and promising students who are lacking quality guidance in Industrial & Technical (IT), Pre and Post Bachelor’s courses etc. to build up their bright carrier with efficient guidance from the expert institutions.
